Born on colony K-2L to Rod and Virginia Aran, Samus was the sole survivor of a Space Pirate raid. Found by the enigmatic Chozo, she was raised in their advanced culture and pursued the training of a Chozo Warrior.
At the age of seventeen, Samus had gained sufficient skill to begin hunting the beings who had killed her parents. Armed with a suit of Chozo power armor, Aran put her skills to use as a bounty hunter specializing in the Space Pirates.
To date, Samus has engaged in a string of successful and bloody missions on both sides of the law, with only a few missteps. Her reputation for viciousness and tenacity is so great that she is often simply called "the Hunter," the definitive specimen of her profession.
